Dr Thato Amanda Ndlovu is a Specialist Physician with a strong passion for health education, clinical research, and comprehensive patient care.
She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of the Witwatersrand and her Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the University of Pretoria. She obtained her Fellowship with the College of Physicians of South Africa and holds a Diploma in HIV Management from the College of Medicine of South Africa.
Dr Ndlovu has worked across South Africa's leading academic hospitals, including Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital where she gained extensive experience managing medical emergencies and rotated through subspecialties including infectious diseases, nephrology, and hematology. She completed her registrar training at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, rotating through multiple subspecialist units including Cardiology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, and Neurology.
She previously served as a Specialist Physician at Mamelodi Regional Hospital, where her responsibilities included providing specialized patient care, developing clinical guidelines, clinical leadership and governance, and mentoring junior doctors and medical students within the regional hospital and district health context.
Dr Ndlovu currently practices as a Specialist Physician at Netcare Jakaranda Hospital in Pretoria, where she continues to provide expert internal medicine care to her patients.
Dr Ndlovu is particularly passionate about health education and research, continuously working to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and public health awareness. She believes in empowering patients through knowledge and contributing to the medical field through ongoing research and education initiatives.
